International Conference - Oral History in Wartime: Academic Knowledge and Researcher's Responsibility

The is pleased to announce the upcoming international conference, "Oral History in Wartime: Academic Knowledge and Researcher's Responsibility."

From 13-15 June 2024, oral historians and memory researchers will convene in Uzhhorod, Ukraine to discuss matters of ethics, professionalism, and scholarly integrity when conducting oral history research during war.

A highlight of the conference will be the keynote address from venerated historian and public intellectual , Professor Emeritus of the Università di Roma “La Sapienza.” Dr. Portelli's talk, along with other conference panels, will be accessible online via the conference website.
