Did you know the Campus Food Bank was the first food bank established at a Canadian postsecondary institution in 1991? Since then, it has expanded its programs to address growing student food insecurity, with 600% more food bank usage at the º£½ÇÉçÇø in the past five years alone.

Join the CFB to cook and enjoy a delicious chili using ingredients commonly provided by the food bank, while learning about how food insecurity affects students and their families. The event will be facilitated by Madi Corry (Programs Manager) and Campus Food Bank volunteers.

Madi, a º£½ÇÉçÇø alumna, started as a volunteer with the Campus Food Bank in 2012, and never left! She became a CFB staff member almost nine years ago, and oversees the organization’s suite of food security programs. She recently completed her Masters in Social Work, through the University of Calgary.

This event is hosted by in collaboration with the Sustainability Council.
