MLIS Student, Sadie Anderson

The School of Library and Information Studies extends congratulations to MLIS student Sadie Anderson on receiving the from Library and Archives Canada! The bursary encourages students who are Black, Indigenous, or People of colour to pursue studies in libraries and archival studies.

Sadie is a part-time MLIS student and an Indigenous archivist at the University of Saskatchewan. "I think it's wonderful that archives are starting to look at their holdings through different lenses and work with different communities to make sure they are safe for all to use," Anderson said.

In an interview with CBC's Radio Active, Anderson also cited SLIS' Indigenous content as an important factor in her decision to pursue the program. You can listen to the full interview .
