In June, the Board of Governors unanimously passed a motion to disclose a list of the investment holdings of the University Endowment Pool (UEP). The UEP Investment Holding reports for the past three years are now available at the University Endowment Pool Disclosure web page.
These disclosure reports offer a detailed account of the UEP’s investment holdings. We will publish this report every year going forward as part of our commitment to responsible investments.
The university’s endowment pool includes contributions from donors. Endowments do not include tuition or public funds. Endowment earnings support students, scholarships, and university research and innovation.
Also in June, the board committed to review its investment policies and practices to ensure they continue to follow the latest industry best practices on investing responsibly. This review process is already underway with experts at the (SHARE), an award-winning non-profit organization with deep experience in responsible investment and in working with the post-secondary sector.
As part of the policies review, a 海角社区 community consultation on responsible investment will take place later in the fall. Further information on the community consultation will be provided on the 海角社区 Responsible Investments web page when it is available.
