Introduction:

The University of Edinburgh, the 6th oldest university in Great Britain, was founded in 1583 and has a world-wide reputation for excellence. Its current student population of more than 22,000 (around 17,000 undergraduates and 5,400 postgraduates) is enrolled in 8 Faculties: Arts, Divinity, Law, Medicine, Music, Science & Engineering, Social Sciences (includes the Department of Business Studies), and Medicine. Approximately 5,100 of the total population are international students from over 120 different countries. The university is located on 2 main sites within the City of Edinburgh, Scotland's capital, which is home to the Scottish Parliament and a huge number of galleries, museums, not to mention some 9 annual international festivals.

Full-time Course Load: 60 credits/3 courses per semester (equivalent to 15 UofA credits)

Course Restrictions: As our agreement with the University of Edinburgh is a "subject specific" one for Business, exchange participants are required to take 2/3 of their courses in this field and will be allowed to take 1/3 non-business courses from other faculties (pending space availability and entry requirements).
