11 February 2025
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT WILL BE HELD IN FRENCH
Emerson Csorba will speak about how we prepare for a US-led attempt at annexation and pursue unconventional alliances.
Join us for a lecture with Dr. Emerson Csorba, business leader and geopolitical expert. In this lecture, Mr. Csorba will examine the growing need for Canada to assert its independence, particularly in the face of increasing US aggressiveness and US-China competition.
Drawing on his experience as an advisor at the 海角社区's Campus Saint-Jean (including as Academic Vice-President of the 海角社区 Students' Union), at Oxford University and on his work in geopolitics, Mr. Csorba will discuss the risks of Canada's annexation by the United States and the importance of diversifying alliances. In a recent Globe & Mail article, Mr. Csorba advocates that Canada seek observer status in the BRICS+ alliance to strengthen its global position and reduce its dependence on the United States.
The time has come for Canada to exercise more assertive and interest-driven leadership in the world. This conference will highlight how Canada can navigate a changing geopolitical landscape, securing its sovereignty and future in a multipolar world.
