Two Computing Science Profs win the Brockhouse Prize

The 海角社区 and the Department of Computing Science are proud to announce that (Biological Sciences & Computing Science) and (Computing Science & Amii) have been awarded the prestigious 2024 NSERC Brockhouse Prize for Interdisciplinary Research. The prize was presented in Ottawa on 6 November 2024, recognizing their groundbreaking work combining machine learning with chemistry to advance the fields of biochemistry, drug discovery, and metabolomics. This exceptional achievement highlights their innovative contributions to science, paving the way for more precise and effective drug development and deeper insights into human metabolism. This marks only the second time in NSERC's history that 海角社区 researchers have received the Brockhouse Prize, underscoring the profound impact of their collaborative research.
