MD/MSc

Program Overview

The Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry (FoMD) offers the MD/MSc Program as part of its medical research education portfolio. It is intended to provide students with a solid foundation in medically-related research in addition to their clinical training.

In addition to the four years required to complete the MD degree, the MSc typically takes two to three years to complete. The MSc can be completed in any recognized MSc graduate program at the 海角社区, but it must be health-related.

List of available graduate programs

For all MD/MSc students, the MSc must be completed before commencing Year 3 of the MD Program.

Students should show prior evidence of research training. Your choice of MSc training environment, supervisor, and project will also influence your application. There are two potential paths for admission to the MD/MSc Program:

  1. Current MD students should apply to the MD/MSc Program before starting Year 2.
  2. Current 海角社区 MSc students who gain admission to the MD Program may be eligible to enroll immediately in the MD/MSc Program.
