Black History Month
5 February 2025
Black History Month is a time to recognize and celebrate the invaluable contributions of Black individuals in shaping our communities, institutions, and fields of knowledge.
As the Psychology EDI Committee, we acknowledge that systemic barriers continue to impact Black individuals in academic spaces and beyond. We reaffirm our commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment where Black perspectives, research, and lived experiences are valued and uplifted. This month, we encourage everyone to engage with Black histories, support Black-led initiatives, and reflect on the role we all play in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion within psychology and our broader communities.
