The Department of Surgery presents its leading-edge surgical research

Dr. Rachel Khadaroo presented on surgery and the Impact of technology to Alberta's Minister of Technology and Innovation, Nate Gulbisha, and other attendees at an event held by Tesla and Code Ninjas to support the Children's Hospital Foundation. Dr. Khadaroo highlighted the 海角社区 Hospital operating room advancements, focusing on the MRI operating room suite, and Dr. Max Levene’s carrying out Canada's 1st robotic assisted kidney transplantation this year. Dr. Khadaroo’s presentation included new approaches to education, including her work in preventing surgical site infection, which the New England Journal of Medicine featured. Ghazel Hashemi also represented the Department, presenting the exciting work in surgical education of Dr. Bin Zheng's Surgical Simulation Research Laboratory.
