Feel safer with Safewalk, the free accompaniment service for anyone travelling on or around campus at night (a º£½ÇÉçÇø peace officer can accompany those walking outside of Safewalk’s regular hours of 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.).

Mental Health Supports

Counselling & Clinical Services helps students tackle anxiety, depression, stress, loneliness, grief, trauma and more. We offer therapy, group therapy, workshops, psychiatric services, consultations and referrals. Our services are free and confidential.

Staff and Faculty can access counselling and other supports through the Employee and Family Assistance Program.

Wellness Supports connects students with comprehensive individualized services to support their well-being from head to toe. If you don’t know where to begin, start by speaking to one of our Wellness Supports Social Workers.

They offer appointments, advising, group workshops, online courses, and specialized programming year-round to students in all university programs, and at all levels of achievement and study. The Office of the Dean of Students supports with specific subjects and general academic skills in various formats, so students choose the resource that’s right for them. 

Faith Supports

The Interfaith Chaplains’ Association serves the º£½ÇÉçÇø community and offers care and support to any student, staff or faculty member. Every chaplain is professionally trained and appointed by recognized communities of faith.

The Office of Safe Disclosure and Human Rights (OSDHR)

In instances of harassment, discrimination and misconduct, any university community member can disclose to the Office of Safe Disclosure and Human Rights (OSDHR). The OSDHR does not accept formal complaints of harassment or discrimination, however, it is a confidential, safe and neutral place for learning about what resources and potential resolution processes are available.The OSDHR can also advise about the differences between a disclosure and a formal complaint.

Palestinian and Arab Community Supports

  • (Edmonton) - fosters an inclusive community that promotes Palestinian cultural heritage, history and causes.
  •  - offers free therapy sessions with counsellors in Edmonton or online. Ruh Care is the largest global directory of Muslim therapists in the US and Canada.

Muslim and Other Community Supports

  • - offers a free 24/7 helpline (866-627-3342), online therapy programs and educational initiatives. 
  •  (Edmonton) - offers counselling, mental health resources, support groups and more. 
  • - offers counselling and community supports. 
  • - provides religious and culturally sensitive mental health support for Muslim women through a 7-day-a-week helpline (1-888-315-6472).
