    • EXCSJ 6301 - Using Bookkeeping Software - 39 hours: This course introduces students to the concepts of digital literacy. It presents applications useful for accounting In addition to mastering accounting software (such as Quickbooks), students will be introduced to online document sharing (such as DropBox and G-Drive) and made aware of data security issues. Prerequisite: EXCSJ 630

    • EXCSJ 6300 - Creation, Understanding and Analysis of Financial Results - 39 hours: This course introduces students to the basic principles of the accounting cycle, including journal entries, accrual entries, closing entries, trial balance and financial statements. The topics of service and merchandise accounting, control of treasury activities and current and fixed assets are introduced.
  • The generally accepted accounting principles are addressed throughout the course, as they relate to the specific areas.
  • The program is designed for part-time study and must be completed within six months (180 days), at a rate of 90 days per course. There is no minimum duration for completing the program.
