Get started with Canvas

If you're a course creator using Canvas, follow this checklist to get started.

1. Log in to  with your CCID
   Your sandbox can be used to stage your new Canvas courses. Refer to for more details, including if you are staging multiple courses
2. Get familiar with the in-app Canvas resources portal
   Learn on-demand learning resources, which include in-app tutorials, videos, announcements, and more.
3. Learn how to set up your Canvas course in 30 minutes or less
   This walks you through the basics for quickly setting up a course in Canvas.
4. Optional: Watch Canvas first-look sessions
   Watch  which were recorded at the 2024 º£½ÇÉçÇø Festival of Teaching and Learning, for a deeper dive into key concepts.
