The Faculty of Nursing at the 海角社区 is one of the largest nursing education institutions in the country and unique as the only Canadian member of the National Hartford Centers for Gerontological Nursing Excellence. We are one of only a few Canadian institutions to offer a full-range of undergraduate and graduate programs.

Programs
In the 2023/24 year, our faculty members received 47 new research grant awards and have had over 88,000 collective citations since 2019. Our areas of research excellence include Children and Women's Health, Healthy Aging, Health Equity and Health Systems, Global Health and Migration, and Mental Health. The Faculty of Nursing is currently ranked number one in Western Canada and number seven in the world according to the QS World Rankings.
We have two Research Chairs:

- - Cavarzan Chair in Mature Women's Health Research
We have three Canada Research Chairs:
- - Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Knowledge Translation
- — Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Applied Pediatric Immunization

Our faculty have won multiple teaching and research awards at the local, provincial and national level, including:

Our 2023/24 enrolment includes 1,473 undergraduate students (all programs), 215 Graduate students and 63 doctoral students. From classroom instruction to simulated practical experiences and clinical placements, all students are immersed in cutting-edge nursing education.
Undergraduate Programs
Our undergraduate programs include:
- A Collaborative Undergraduate BScN Program involving a partnership with Northwestern Polytechnic (formerly Grande Prairie Regional College), Keyano College, and Red Deer Polytechnic (formerly Red Deer College) has operated since 1997.
- An After Degree BScN Program that was initiated in Fall 2002.
- A Bilingual BScN Nursing Program that was initiated in Fall 2004 and is offered in collaboration with Faculté Saint-Jean.
- A Nursing Honors Program that is available for high-achieving undergraduate students.
- 645 of our undergraduate students have received $1.2 million in scholarships.
Graduate Programs
- We implemented the first Master of Nursing program in western Canada in 1975.
- In 1991, we began the first fully-funded Nursing PhD program in Canada.
- Our faculty is among the first in the country to offer fully online PhD studies.
- 72 graduate students received over $1.16M from grants/awards.
